We stayed at The Dwarika’s in December 2025 and it was easily the highlight of our trip. It is a stunning property that stands out the moment you see it from the street. If you are looking for a hotel with character and world-class service, this is it. - It has a wonderful "old-school colony" feel. The architecture is breathtaking and the decor throughout the hotel is just stunning. - Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and felt very authentic to Nepal. - There is visible security at the entrance, which made us feel very safe and looked after from the second we pulled up. - This was the standout for us. We had some unforeseen travel issues across Nepal and had to move our dates around. Even though we had booked via a third party, the staff were incredibly accommodating and sorted everything out for us without any fuss. This is a truly grand hotel and the hospitality is second to none. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, and we will definitely be staying here again when we return to Kathmandu!

Had a wonderful stay at The Dwarika's Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, full of traditional Nepali charm, and feels very peaceful. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well designed. The food was also excellent. A perfect place to experience Nepali culture with great hospitality. Highly recommended!
Gokarna House Restaurant
By far the best hotel we ever stayed at, it has such a personal touch and the service is excellent. As soon as you enter the garden, the noise of the busy streets just stops and all you can hear are the birds and leaves blowing in the wind. The garden is luscious and there are plenty of corners to hide and relax. We had the junior suite, with a lovely courtyard view and large, open bathroom. The evening service that they offer is also a nice touch. We ate several times there and every vegan and vegetarian dish was delicious, whether it was from the local or international menu. The staff were also very professional and attentive. Excellent place, a must stay if visiting Kathmandu, or at least to enjoy a meal :)

Ambience is great, but the food is below average. The Hotel is a 5 star, it is the most premium hotel in kathmandu, but the servers in the restaurant have too much attitude on their faces, some are very helpful and sweet, and some show the weird attitude even while serving. Please train your staffs.

The Hotel is a 5 star, it is the most premium hotel in kathmandu, but the servers in the restaurant have too much attitude on their faces, some are very helpful and sweet, and some show the weird attitude even while serving. Please train your staffs.

Had a wonderful experience at Hotel Dwarika’s in Kathmandu. The traditional Nepali architecture and attention to detail are truly stunning. The staff were warm, professional, and very welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of cultural charm. The food was also excellent. A perfect place to experience luxury with authentic heritage. Highly recommended!
